Emma Hanisch

Emma is a writer, designer, and photographer from Maryland (USA). She recently completed her Master's in Science Communication at the University of Otago, and has also studied psychology, biology, and neuroscience at McDaniel College in Westminster, MD, the University of Maryland, Bangor University in Wales, and the shipboard education program Semester at Sea.

Emma's research focuses on the relationships between wildlife photography and engagement with biodiversity. Emma also founded and maintains the Wild Focus Project, a website about nature photography, conservation, and storytelling.
